New Jersey Traffic Collisions

Absecon, NJ - 8-Year-Old Killed in Collision on Rt 30/White Horse PikeFatal car accidents end the lives of more than 100 people each day in the United States and around 40,000 individuals per year across the nation. These numbers are alarming, especially when we consider the most common cause of car accidents which is negligent drivers.

Negligent drivers cause over 90% of reported car crashes each year throughout the country. In New Jersey, tens of thousands of people are injured per year, and thousands more lose their lives due to car crashes.

With more than 6 million vehicle collisions reported annually, this means that approximately 5 million accidents happen because of distractions, speeding, intoxication, and other acts of negligence demonstrated by American drivers. Driver distraction is most likely the most common form of driver negligence seen today due to people constantly being on their cell phones, having to check their social media, texts, etc. Looking down at your phone while driving 55 mph is equivalent to driving the length of a football field with your eyes closed. This is extremely dangerous and puts your life, as well as everyone in your vehicle and those around you on the road, at serious risk for severe injuries or even death.

If you have recently lost someone you love due to the actions of a negligent driver, you should contact a wrongful death lawyer as soon as you can.
