Absecon, NJ – Pedestrian Killed in Wreck on Rt 30 near Turner Ave

Absecon, NJ (February 21, 2024) – Just after 9:00 p.m., a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Absecon. Police say the event occurred on Route 30 east of Turner Avenue near the Executive Lodge motel. The driver who struck the pedestrian did not stop to render aid or wait for help to arrive. Police in the area are now on the lookout for a vehicle with heavy front-end damage consistent with the impact of the pedestrian. Traffic was blocked in the area for some time while emergency crews worked to render aid and clear the scene.
