Alpine, NJ – Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Palisades Interstate ParkwayNY/NJ Legal News
Alpine, NJ (July 3, 2020) – One man lost his life in a collision just past the New York State border in Alpine, according to reports. Just after 10 p.m., on July 2, the New Jersey State Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on the Palisades Interstate Parkway.
Reports show that a driver in a 2014 Toyota Sienna was traveling down the northbound side of the parkway when he struck an animal. The man pulled his vehicle to the side of the road and attempted to assess the damages. As the man exited his vehicle, he was struck by a northbound 2018 Cadillac CT6. The injured victim was rushed to Nyack Hospital where he was declared deceased.
At this time, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Fatal Accident Investigation Unit is gathering evidence surrounding the accident.
