Brick, NJ – Vincent C. Grillo in Critical Condition After Three-Car Crash at Rt 70 and Morris Ave

Brick, NJ (May 06, 2022) – An man from Lakewood was left in critical condition after a three-car accident in Ocean County on Thursday, May 5th.

The collision took place at about 3:25 p.m. o on Route 70 at the Morris Avenue intersection in Brick Township.

83-year-old Vincent C. Grillo sustained multiple internal injuries, head trauma, and unconsciousness as a result of the crash.

An investigation indicated that Grillo was heading eastbound on Route 70, near Olden Street when he hit the concrete divider. As he was approaching the intersection of Morris Avenue, he ran a red light. 

Grillo’s Kia Sportage hit a car that was stopped at a red light. That car then hit a third vehicle that was also stopped at the red light.

Grillo was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in critical condition.

A second driver complained of chest pain and was treated at the scene. 

The third driver was unharmed during the crash.
