Brick, NJ – Woman Killed in Hit & Run on Rt 35 near Bay Blvd

Brick, NJ (January 15, 2024) – A man has been charged in a hit-and-run accident that took the life of a woman in Brick on Saturday morning, January 13. The accident happened on Route 35 south near Bay Boulevard. The man who caused it, from Middlesex County, knowingly left the scene of the crash that ultimately resulted in one fatality. At this time, police have not yet released the identity of the woman who lost her life. Police in Brick were dispatched to the scene of the incident at around 9:15 a.m. after receiving reports concerning the crash. Sources say the woman was struck while she was on the shoulder of the roadway. She was transported to Ocean University Medical Center where she was later pronounced deceased, police said. Police in Brick are still investigating.
