Bridgewater, NJ (June 22, 2023) – A fatal car accident occurred in Bridgewater on June 21. The incident took place just before midnight when two vehicles collided on Route 22. 

Reports show the crash happened on Route 22 near the intersection of the MetLife facility. A 2018 Nissan Rogue and a 2018 Jeep Wrangler collided for reasons still being investigated by police. 

The operator of the Wrangler was identified as 54-year-old Charles Young, who lost his life at the scene. The other driver, 47-year-old Wallace Wilder, suffered injuries and was transported to an area hospital by ambulance. 

Several responders worked at the scene for some time, causing significant delays in the area. No other details have been reported concerning the incident at this time.
