New York Bus Accidents
Automobile accidents are unexpected events that can significantly impact the lives of individuals. When buses are involved in accidents, severe and even catastrophic or fatal injuries can occur. In one recent year, buses were involved in approximately 5% of traffic accidents throughout the United States.
Unfortunately, these incidents continue to affect tens of thousands of people every year across the nation and in the state of New York. The consequences of a collision go beyond the immediate aftermath, often leaving lasting and far-reaching effects. Injured crash victims may be stuck in the hospital for a prolonged period of time while they attempt to recover. They may have to miss work and important time with their family members, which can be very overwhelming and stressful, as well as depressing and anxiety-inducing. Filing a personal injury claim with a skilled lawyer can help crash victims, and their family members recover from these damages and more, especially when they know their accident was not their fault.
These accidents are often preventable, yet victims and their families endure life-altering consequences. Careless and reckless drivers subject innocent travelers to devastating injuries on roadways. Victims who suffer neck, back, and head injuries often undergo extensive medical treatments and face months of recovery. In addition to the physical and mental consequences, the financial impacts further burden victims and their families with medical expenses, lost wages, and other damages. When negligent drivers cause accidents that result in injuries, victims should take quick legal action.
