Bronx, NY – Three Critically Injured in Bus Crash on Einstein Loop N near Hutchinson River Pkwy
Bronx, NY (May 15, 2023) – A serious injury accident involving a minibus happened in the Bronx on Monday afternoon, May 15. Emergency responders went to the scene of the multi-vehicle crash at around 3:15 p.m.
Police say the incident occurred near the intersection of the Einstein Loop and the Hutchinson River Parkway east in Co-Op City. According to reports, an 80-year-old man in a Jeep, accompanied by a 70-year-old female passenger, crashed into the minibus.
Both were transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Four students, a bus driver, and a bus attendant were all on the bus at the time of the accident. One student was transported to the hospital with critical injuries.
The three other students were transported with minor injuries, along with the bus attendant.
Authorities in the Bronx continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
