Bronx, NY (September 20, 2023) – Two police officers and one civilian suffered injuries in a car wreck in the Bronx on Tuesday morning, September 19. The incident took place at around 10:15 a.m., according to reports.
Sources say the accident happened on Westchester Avenue near Roberts Avenue in Pelham Bay. Two officers were traveling in a police cruiser while responding to an emergency call when they were involved in a crash with a civilian in another vehicle.
The police car was split down the middle by a subway pillar, according to information from local officials. All three were injured, however, they are all expected to survive.
