Brooklyn, NY – 9-Year-Old Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Ave DNY/NJ Legal News
Brooklyn, NY (December 27, 2019) – Around 12:45 a.m., on December 27th, a 9-year-old boy ran outside of his home to take out the garbage during the early morning hours. While outside, the boy was struck by an Infinity sedan on Avenue D near Flatbush Avenue. The driver of the vehicle stopped as the boy was trapped under the vehicle.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and had to extricate the boy from beneath the vehicle. The young child sustained critical injuries and was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.
The driver of the sedan was subsequently arrested for suspicion of driving while impaired.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
