Brooklyn, NY – Aracely Courtenay Killed in Pedestrian Accident on E 21st St near Ditmas Ave
Brooklyn, NY (February 21, 2023) – A woman lost her life in a fatal pedestrian accident on Saturday, February 18, in Flatbush. Aracely Courtenay, age 50, tripped in the street and was fatally struck by an SUV.
Reports show she was trying to cross East 21st Street just before 7:00 p.m. when she was hit by a Toyota Highlander that was headed north on East 21st street. The vehicle was making a right turn onto Ditmas Avenue at the time.
The driver of the Toyota, identified as a 58-year-old man, stayed at the crash scene and cooperated with police, who are still investigating the details of the collision.
