Brooklyn, NY – Erika Wajsman Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Avenue P: Update

Brooklyn, NY (November 29, 2023) – A pedestrian was struck by a dump truck in Midwood, Brooklyn. Reports show the crash happened at around 9:15 a.m. Monday, November 27. Erika Wajsman, 77, was crossing Avenue P near East 19th Street when she was hit by the truck. The NYPD responded to the scene and found the woman unconscious and unresponsive. She was pronounced deceased shortly after officers arrived. The driver, identified as a 43-year-old, stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
