Brooklyn, NY (August 14, 2023) – A 911 call was made to authorities in Brooklyn on the afternoon of August 14 concerning a serious structure fire. Firefighters responded to the scene where the sixth floor of a building had caught fire. 

Reports show that people were jumping out of the building from the fifth floor. The incident occurred in the 100 block of the Rockaway Parkway. Fire crews helped several injured victims at the scene. 

Reports show that four individuals suffered injuries in the blaze. However, the extent of their injuries remains unknown at this time. 

Approximately an hour after it started, fire crews had the blaze under control. Police in Brooklyn continue to investigate the circumstances of the fire.
