Clifton, NJ – One Killed in Fatal Crash on Garden State Pkwy near Exit 157.9
Clifton, NJ (October 26, 2022) – A fatal traffic accident took one life on a parkway in Clifton. At around 5:43 a.m., the incident was reported to officials in the area who promptly responded to the scene.
Reports indicate the accident happened near Exit 157.9 on the Garden State Parkway when an SUV headed north left the right side of the highway and struck a guardrail and several trees, according to police in New Jersey.
The vehicle then re-entered the highway after overturning. While the vehicle turned over, three occupants were ejected. Their identities have not been released at this time.
The vehicle was identified as a BMW X5. Paramedics rendered aid at the scene, however, one person lost their life in the accident.
Authorities in Clifton continue to investigate this fatal accident.
