Clinton Township, NJ – Two Injured in Crash on I-78 near Milepost 22
Clinton Township, NJ (October 12, 2023) – Two individuals suffered serious injuries after a car crash happened in Clinton Township. The wreck was reported to police in the area at around 5:16 on October 8.
Reports show that the incident occurred on Interstate 78 near milepost 22, and sent two people to the hospital by helicopter. A preliminary investigation conducted by police found that a BMW and a Chevrolet were headed west on the interstate when the two vehicles collided.
Both vehicles ran off the road and struck several trees. The driver of the BMW, identified as Jack Pirone, 39, of South Bound Brook, along with a passenger of the Chevrolet, identified as Dixer Noel Arana Rodriguez, 31, of Easton, PA, both suffered severe injuries and were airlifted to a local hospital for treatment.
Police in Clinton Township continue to investigate the details of the crash.
