Drunk Driver Injures Passenger in Egg Harbor Twp, NJ

Egg Harbor Township, NJ (August 10, 2026) – A Pleasantville man was arrested on intoxicated driving charges after his car left the roadway and struck a telephone pole in the West Atlantic City section of Egg Harbor Township early Saturday, August 8.

The Egg Harbor Township Police were called to the Black Horse Pike near Oxford Place at about 8:00 a.m. Wires came down across the street and sidewalk after the vehicle struck the pole, and the car also ran over a fire hydrant.

The driver was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody. A front-seat passenger was hurt and was taken to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Officer Ricevuto of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department is looking into what led up to the crash.
