New York Car Wrecks

Car accidents happen frequently in New York and throughout the United States. Annual accident reports show that hundreds of thousands of vehicle collisions occur in the Empire State per year, which cause injuries and fatalities for numerous individuals. Families end up fractured and devastated when catastrophic traffic accidents occur, causing serious problems for extended periods of time.

On average, over 6 million car crashes are reported per year in the United States that injure more than 3 million people. When we consider the cause of these crashes, it is alarming to know that the majority of them are caused by driver negligence. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that more than 90% of vehicle collisions reported in the United States are the result of negligent driving.

Distraction, intoxication, fatigue, and speeding are the top four leading types of driver negligence seen most often in the United States. Distracted driving causes over 400,000 traffic collisions per year that injure tens of thousands of people and take the lives of more than 3,000. Additionally, over 30% of reported fatal accidents involve a drunk driver, and speeding takes the lives of more than 11,000 people per year. These statistics highlight the fact that negligent driving has become a severe and deadly issue throughout the United States.

When you or someone you love sustain injuries in an accident caused by the actions of a negligent driver, you deserve to be able to recover without having to worry about your finances being diminished. You should not have to pay for expensive medical care and vehicle repairs and lose much-needed time at work when you are hurt by driver negligence. Additionally, negligent drivers need to be held responsible for the damages they cause so they are less likely to hurt others in the future.
