East Rutherford, NJ (January 22, 2024) – A 26-year-old man was killed in a fatal crash over the weekend in East Rutherford.
According to local reports, the man was headed west in a Toyota pickup truck just before 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 21, when his vehicle struck a toll plaza abutment and overturned near Interchange 16W. The truck caught fire and the man was fatally injured. Currently, he has not been publicly identified. Police directed traffic away from the crash scene for some time on Sunday while emergency crews worked in the area, forcing local drivers to use alternate routes.
