Edison, NJ – Double Fatality in Single-Car Accident on Rt 1NY/NJ Legal News
Edison, NJ (February 10, 2022) – Two people died when their car crashed into a tree on Route 1 on Tuesday, February 8th in Edison.
According to the Middlesex County Prosecutor, driver 21-year-old Ziyad Elsaedi, a resident of North Plainfield, and his front-seat passenger were both killed after Elsaedi’s car left the southbound lanes of Route 1 in the area of Jeff Street near the ramp leading to Route 287 at about 10:15 p.m.
Two other passengers were taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
The identity of the deceased passenger has not been disclosed because the family has not been notified.
