Edison, NJ – School Bus Crash Injures One Student on Rahway Rd
Edison, NJ (October 18, 2023) – Police in Edison are currently investigating after a school bus crash occurred on Wednesday morning, October 11. Responders including paramedics, police, and fire crews responded to the scene shortly after the wreck occurred.
Reports show the incident took place on Rahway Road when the driver went around a curve and lost control, causing the bus to crash into a house. About 30 students from John Adams Middle School were on the bus at the time of the collision, police said.
The brakes on the bus reportedly failed and the driver went through the field in order to avoid striking other homes. At least two students present on the bus suffered injuries. Police report that no one inside the house sustained any injuries.
Debris was strewn across the yard of the home after the collision as middle school students gathered near the bus and emergency crews worked at the scene. Authorities in Edison continue to investigate.
