New Jersey Pedestrian Crashes
Pedestrian crashes occur thousands of times each year in the state of New York. These collisions usually end in injuries and even death for victims. On average, more than 5,000 pedestrians are killed per year in the United States due to auto collisions. Unfortunately, the majority of these accidents happen due to the actions of negligent drivers. In fact, the NHTSA found that more than 50% of the time, negligent drivers cause injurious and fatal pedestrian accidents.
Pedestrians who are severely injured in car crashes usually have to spend prolonged periods recovering in the hospital. While there, they often have to undergo medical care that ends up being extremely expensive and invasive, such as repeat surgeries or exhausting physical therapy. Experiences like this can be life-altering, not only for injured victims but also for their loved ones.
If you or someone in your family has recently been hurt in a pedestrian crash, you should consult a lawyer to see if you qualify for financial compensation. Compensation could help you recover in numerous ways. When your finances are taken care of, you can usually focus better on your physical and mental well-being.
