New Jersey Car Wrecks

Egg Harbor Twp, NJ - James Geloso Loses Life in Crash on Black Horse PikeEvery year, thousands of individuals suffer debilitating injuries after serious motorcycle accidents. In the state of New Jersey, we see several people hurt in wrecks due to the negligent actions of other drivers. Though motorcyclists sometimes wear helmets and other protective gear while trying to look out for other drivers sharing the road, no guarantee exists saying that other motorists will always be mindful of them.

Stereotypes surrounding motorcyclists lead the majority of Americans to think that they are almost always at fault for traffic accidents This is far from true. An overwhelming majority of motorcycle collisions are a result of other motorists who switch lanes without checking, follow too closely, or are negligent and reckless in other ways. Motorcyclists are at a greater risk of sustaining injuries than most other people on the road. This means drivers need to exercise extreme caution when sharing the road with them.

People in cars, trucks, and SUVs have steel cages that work as a barrier of protection in an accident. Motorcyclists are not afforded this luxury. As a result, when they become involved in accidents, their injuries are often devastating and sometimes even fatal. Not only are victims left to suffer physically and emotionally, they usually end up with outstanding medical bills and costs related to vehicle repairs and more.

It does not seem fair that motorcyclists should pay tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of dollars for the treatment needed for their injuries. For this reason, New Jersey provides victims with several legal options to gather compensation from those at fault. Victims and their loved ones can contact a motorcycle accident attorney in Egg Harbor to explore available legal options and protect their legal rights.
