Englewood, NJ – Motorcyclist Ejected, Struck by 18-Wheeler on NJ Tpk

Englewood, NJ (September 19, 2022) – A motorcyclist had to have his arm amputated after a significant accident on the New Jersey Turnpike on Sunday, September 18th. 

The 26-year-old man from the Bronx was riding southbound in the express lanes near mile marker 121 in Englewood at about 2:00 p.m. when a crash caused him to be ejected from his KTM motorcycle. He was then run over by a tractor-trailer traveling in the same direction. 

The motorcyclist was transferred to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he had to be intubated and have his arm amputated. He is still listed in critical condition. 

State Police are investigating.
