Farmingville, NY – One Seriously Hurt in Accident on Nicolls Rd near Horseblock Place

Farmingville, NY (February 14, 2023) – A man from Ridge sustained serious injuries when he was involved in a rear-end accident in Farmingville on Tuesday morning. Police in Suffolk report the accident took place on Nicolls Road at around 10:45 a.m. 

The accident occurred on Nicolls Road near Horseblock Place. A 2005 Lexus rear-ended a 2021 Ford F350 stopped in the left lane of traffic on northbound Nicolls Road. The man had to be extricated from his vehicle by the Farmingville Fire Department Rescue squad. 

He was transported to Stony Brook University hospital to be treated for serious injuries, police said. The driver of the pickup, identified as a man from Clifton, New Jersey, age 71, along with his 38-year-old Clifton resident, were sent to the hospital with injuries. 

Authorities in Farmingville are currently investigating.
