Franklin Borough, NJ – One Killed, One Hurt in Two-Car Accident on Munsonhurst Rd near Foxhill Dr
Franklin Borough, NJ (March 6, 2023) – A two-car collision happened in Franklin Borough on the afternoon of Monday, March 6. At approximately 3:30 p.m., emergency crews were sent to the scene of the crash on Munsonhurst Road.
Information from officials shows the incident happened on Munsonhurst Road, also known as County Road 517, near Foxhill Drive.
A 72-year-old woman was headed north on Munsonhurst Road in a Kia Sorrento that crossed the center line and drove into opposing traffic where it struck a Nissan Sentra head-on. The woman was found unconscious and rendered life-saving aid before she was transported to Newton Medical Center. There, she was pronounced deceased by medical professionals.
Police say the other driver, identified as a 20-year-old woman, suffered significant injuries and had to be extricated from her vehicle. She was transported to Newton Medical Center to be treated for her injuries.
