Freehold Twp, NJ (January 11, 2024) – A pedestrian was killed in a collision in Freehold on Tuesday night, January 9. Police report the crash happened at around 5:35 p.m. on Route 9 near the interchange with Route 33. Sources said a 63-year-old male victim lost his life when he was struck by a vehicle. He was found lying in the roadway by police and EMS crews. The man was pronounced deceased on-site, according to reports. Police said that Route 9 South would be closed at Route 537 on Thursday, January 11 at around 10:30 a.m. for the investigation into the circumstances of the crash to continue.
