Glen Cove, N.Y. (February 20, 2019) – A woman has sustained serious injuries after she was involved in a pedestrian accident in Glen Cove on Tuesday night. The New York pedestrian accident occurred around 8:10 p.m. on Brewster Avenue in Nassau County.
According to authorities, the 25-year-old woman was attempting to cross Brewster Avenue when she was hit by a 2005 Volkswagen that was being driven by an unidentified 23-year-old woman. The woman who was hit suffered severe head trauma and was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance for treatment. She is listed as being critically injured.
The driver of the Volkswagen remained at the scene of the accident. The car has been brake and safety tested, according to police, and they see no criminality in the accident. The investigation into the accident is ongoing at the time of this article.
