Gloucester City, NJ – Injuries Reported in Crash on I-295 near Rt 44
Gloucester City, NJ (April 25, 2023) – Information provided by police in Gloucester City shows a car crash with injuries that occurred on Tuesday afternoon, April 25. At approximately 3:30 p.m., emergency crews were sent to the scene of a crash on I-295.
Sources say the incident occurred near Route 44 on Interstate 295. Two vehicles were involved in the rear-end chain-reaction wreck, which may have also involved a third driver. Authorities report all vehicles were headed south in the middle lane when they were involved in a crash about a mile past the exit for Route 44.
Local emergency crews, including fire crews and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene to render aid and investigate. At least two people sustained injuries, however, their identities have not been reported at this time.
Authorities in Gloucester City continue to investigate.
