Fatal Motorcycle Accidents in New York
Fatal motorcycle accidents take the lives of countless people in New York every year. Although we want to believe that we understand how devastating the loss of a loved one can be, it is nearly impossible to prepare for the impact that this type of accident can have on your family.
Losing a loved one due to another person’s negligence can be incredibly devastating. Many families face significant financial and emotional consequences that impact every aspect of their lives. Unfortunately, there are many instances where innocent people die due to fatal accidents caused by negligence.
After enduring the unexpected loss of a loved one, families are able to pursue legal action against the responsible party to seek financial compensation for funeral costs, lost earning capacity, the loss of consortium, and more. In order to prevail, families are required to prove that the negligence of the defendant was the cause of their loved one’s death. This is done by demonstrating that the defendant breached the duty of care that they were required to provide your loved one. You must then prove that the accident that caused the death of your loved one was caused by the breach and that you suffered damages.
