New Jersey Car Crashes

Hackensack, NJ - Motor Vehicle Accident on Rt 80 near exit 64 Results in InjuriesAuto collisions happen across the state of New Jersey daily. Every year, over 60,000 auto accidents are reported that injure and take the lives of numerous individuals. Alarmingly, most of the car wrecks reported throughout the nation happen because of negligent drivers who are distracted, fatigued, intoxicated, or speeding. Vehicle malfunctions and bad weather do cause some wrecks, but drivers who choose to act recklessly, carelessly, or negligently while operating their vehicles are responsible for the majority of the wrecks reported in the United States.

Accidents caused by driver negligence are often more severe than accidents that occur for other reasons. In one recent year, more than 11,000 lost their lives in auto collisions caused by speeding. When drivers travel at unsafe speeds, their reaction times are drastically reduced in the case of a collision, and if they do end up colliding with another vehicle or structure at high speeds, the impact can be much more devastating.
