Hackensack, NJ – Pedestrian Struck by Semi, Injured on Rt 17
Hackensack, NJ (May 16, 2023) – A pedestrian was sent to the hospital after a tractor-trailer hit them in Hackensack. The crash happened at around 11:30 p.m. on Monday, May 15.
Reports from authorities show that the incident occurred on Route 17. The pedestrian was found conscious and alert in a passenger vehicle pulled over to the shoulder of the highway.
The tractor-trailer driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Responders remained at the scene for an extended period of time, causing traffic delays to occur.
Paramedics transported the injured victim to the University Medical Center with injuries. Their identity has not been reported at this time.
