Harrison, NJ – One Life Taken by Bicycle Crash on Harrison Ave near N Second St

Harrison, NJ (August 29, 2023) – A fatal bicycle crash happened in Harrison on Sunday morning, August 27. At around 9:30 a.m., the police were called to Harrison Avenue for reports of a traffic accident involving a bicyclist. 

When they arrived at the scene, near North Second Street, they found an injured victim unresponsive and bleeding at the intersection. An SUV had struck a pedestrian for reasons still being investigated. 

Despite life-saving efforts made by paramedics, the victim lost his life at the scene. He was identified as a 74-year-old man. Authorities are still working to notify his family at this time.
