Haworth, NJ – Boy on Bike Struck, Dragged More Than 20 Feet on Maple AveNY/NJ Legal News
Haworth, NJ (September 09, 2022) – A 15-year-boy endured very serious injuries when he was struck while riding an e-bike in Haworth on Thursday, September 8th.
The teenager was riding northbound on Maple Avenue when he was hit by a woman driving a westbound BMW X5 at about 4:00 p.m.
The boy was dragged more than 20 feet and thrown another 10 feet.
The teen was transported by Haworth Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Hackensack University Medical Center. He was taken into emergency surgery with multiple injuries, including a broken leg.
The 68-year-old woman from Paramus who was driving the BMW was unharmed during the impact.
