Hawthorne, NJ – Pedestrian Injured in Collision on Lafayette AveNY/NJ Legal News
Hawthorne, NJ (November 8, 2019) – On November 7, at approximately 8:45 p.m., authorities responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Lafayette Avenue.
According to reports, 82-year-old Ronald Van Slooten was traveling, by foot, along the roadway when he was struck by a motor vehicle near Llewelyn Avenue.
The victim was thrown into the windshield of the 2013 Subaru Impreza that struck him.
Van Slooten sustained critical injuries and was rushed to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the accident.
