Hempstead, NY – Man Killed, Two Hurt in Wreck on Meadowbrook Pkwy near Hempstead Tpke
Hempstead, NY (April 24, 2024) – A man from Hempstead lost his life on Tuesday, April 23, in a collision that happened at around 8:00 p.m. Reports show the incident took place near the Hempstead Turnpike on the Meadowbrook Parkway. The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene to render aid in the investigation. According to the preliminary report, a Porsche being driven by Michael Brown Jr., 36, was headed north when it was involved in a crash with a Toyota and a Nissan before it overturned on the right-hand shoulder of the road. Brown lost his life in the accident. The driver and passenger inside the Toyota were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police in Hempstead continue to investigate.
