Howell Township, NJ (April 11, 2022) – One person has lost their life as a result of a fatal bicycle accident that occurred in Howell Township on Friday, April 8.

At around 10:15 p.m., authorities were dispatched to the scene of an accident on US Route 9.

Reports provided by authorities in Monmouth County show that a bicyclist was traveling in the 4400 block of US Route 9 when they were struck by a vehicle. The bicyclist was ejected from the vehicle.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene to treat the victim. Unfortunately, the rider passed away at the scene.

At this time, investigations surrounding the incident are underway.
