On average, over 6 million car crashes are reported per year in the United States that injure more than 3 million people. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that more than 90% of vehicle collisions reported in the United States are the result of negligent driving.
Distraction, intoxication, fatigue, and speeding are the top four leading types of driver negligence seen most often in the United States. Distracted driving causes over 400,000 traffic collisions per year that injure tens of thousands of people and take the lives of more than 3,000. Additionally, over 30% of reported fatal accidents involve a drunk driver, and speeding takes the lives of more than 11,000 people per year.
