Islip, NY – Five Injured in 3-Car Crash on Sunrise Hwy
Islip, NY (March 1, 2023) – A vehicle overturned in a car crash that happened in Islip on Saturday afternoon, February 25. Reports show the wreck occurred between three vehicles and caused five people to become injured.
Police say it occurred in the westbound lanes of the Sunrise Highway at around 4:30 p.m. A Dodge Durango reportedly rear-ended a Jeep Wrangler, causing it to turn over. Five people were injured in the accident.
A third vehicle, identified as a Toyota sedan, was also involved in the accident. The driver of that vehicle suffered no injuries in the collision.
Authorities in Islip continue to investigate the details of the wreck.
