Kearny, NJ – Nine Injured in Five-Car Accident on the Newark-Jersey City TnpkNY/NJ Legal News
Kearny, NJ (November 03, 2021) – Nine people were injured during a five-vehicle collision on Monday, November 1st in Kearny.
At about 10:00 p.m., officers from the Kearny Police Department responded to the scene in the 900th block of the Newark-Jersey City Turnpike for reports of a multi-car accident.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered that five vehicles were involved in the accident.
One of the victims, a 21-year-old male driving a 2016 BMW 435i, sustained serious head trauma. He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Newark. He is currently listed in stable condition.
An investigation conducted by the Kearny Police Department and the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit determined that the other vehicles involved in the incident were a 2010 Acura, a 2009 Honda CRV, a 2014 Audi A4, and a 2020 Chevrolet Suburban.
All of the injured received treatment at the scene and several were transported by Emergency Medical Services to various local hospitals.
