Kenilworth, NJ – Young Boy Injured in Pedestrian Collision on S Michigan Ave near Newark Ave
Kenilworth, NJ (November 9, 2023) – A young boy, age 8, was injured in a pedestrian crash on October 31 in Kenilworth. Responders say the collision occurred during trick-or-treating hours on Halloween, at around 7:10 p,.m.
The by was reportedly crossing in the crosswalk at the intersection of South Michigan Avenue and Newark Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle. He was transported by paramedics to a local hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.
The Traffic Bureau is currently investigating the details of the incident. The driver who struck the boy fled the scene without stopping, sources said.
