New Jersey Auto Accidents
In New Jersey, around 61,000 auto accidents are reported yearly. Sadly, a percentage of these wrecks end in injuries and death for those involved. In New Jersey, Essex County sees more auto accidents than any other county in the state. Throughout the US, each year, about 6 million individuals are hurt in auto accidents yearly. Each day, about 17,000 auto accidents are reported that injure approximately 7,500 people. Tens of thousands of people lose their lives in these wrecks per year. In fact, around 40,000 individuals are killed annually in car wrecks, which is equal to the number of people who are killed due to gun violence every year.
When you or someone you love has sustained a severe injury in an auto accident, you may be dealt an array of difficulties in relation to your wreck. Painful injuries are, unfortunately, expensive and time-consuming. The entire situation could be causing you stress, depression, and anxiety.
All around, a situation of this nature could be keeping you from living a happy, productive life. Not only do you deserve this, but you, at the very least, deserve to be able to successfully recover from your injuries without having to worry about money. This is especially true if your crash was caused by another person’s negligent actions.
Negligent drivers are responsible for the majority of injurious and fatal accidents throughout New Jersey and the entire United States. Currently, distracted driving is the most common type of negligent driving seen throughout the country. This is due to the use of handheld technology. The number of people who choose to text and drive, check their social media, and talk on the phone has skyrocketed in the past ten years.
It can be painful and frustrating to sustain severe injuries due to the actions of another person. While you’re stuck recovering in the hospital, you are most likely unable to work and make a living, meaning you are missing out on much-needed paychecks while the medical bills continue to roll in.
Depending on the details of your wreck, you may be able to file a personal injury claim for financial compensation. If you are under the impression that a negligent driver caused your accident, you should call a personal injury lawyer in New Jersey.
