Lakewood Township, NJ (January 4, 2022) – New Jersey Transit officials have confirmed that a pedestrian has lost their life following a crash overnight in Ocean County.
At around 10:25 p.m., on January 3, emergency crews responded to the site of a crash at the Lakewood Bus Terminal.
Reports show that a pedestrian was struck by a New Jersey Transit bus in the parking lot at the station during the evening hours.
The pedestrian suffered severe injuries in the accident. EMS rushed the victim to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus where they were pronounced deceased from their injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
