Lavalette, NJ (November 8, 2019) – The driver who killed an 83-year-old man in a pedestrian accident on Route 35 North has been arrested.

On October 19, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Route 35 North.

According to reports, 83-year-old Thomas Castronovo was attempting to cross the road near Guyger Avenue, when he was struck by a motor vehicle. The victim was rushed to Community Medical Center in Toms River where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the car, who was identified as 39-year-old Brian Kosanke was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide.

At this time, police are investigating the incident.
