New Jersey Auto Accidents

Lawrenceville, NJ - Daija McKithen, 18, Killed in Crash with Dump Truck near Brunswick Pike & Franklin Corner RdTraffic collisions continue to be one of the main reasons people get hurt or lose their lives in New Jersey. Each year, countless people are sent to the hospital with serious or even debilitating injuries, including spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, and more, due to car wrecks. Unfortunately, the majority of these crashes happen at busy intersections throughout the Garden State.

There are several reasons why accidents often occur at intersections. One main contributor is driver negligence. This includes things like running red lights and stop signs, making improper turns, or failing to yield the right-of-way. Other times, it’s simply a matter of inattention and not seeing the other vehicle coming in time.

Another leading cause of intersection accidents is when one driver attempts to drive through a yellow light at the last minute and ends up T-boning another vehicle that’s already in the intersection. This is especially dangerous because there’s never enough time for either driver to react and avoid a crash.

There are some instances where weather conditions can contribute to intersection accidents. For example, if it’s snowing, raining, or foggy, and visibility is reduced, it can be more difficult to see other vehicles. Also, slick roads can make it a difficult task to stop in a timely manner if another car suddenly appears in front of you.

Sometimes, people suffer injuries that are so severe they end up losing their lives.
