Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in New York
Carbon monoxide is sometimes referred to as the silent killer. This is because its fumes are odorless, colorless, and tasteless. With these characteristics, it can be challenging to readily identify a case of carbon monoxide poisoning.
If you or a family member has been a victim of carbon monoxide poisoning, it is essential to find out the exact cause. A New York personal injury lawyer will know the most effective methods of conducting a thorough investigation of the circumstances leading up to your accident.
If the incident happened at your home or place of work, a defective product, such as a stove, heater, or machine that uses gas could be to blame. A faulty product that is leaking gas coupled with inadequate ventilation can easily go overlooked until it is too late. If this is found to be the cause of your carbon monoxide poisoning, you may have grounds for a lawsuit.
In many cases, people suffer from devastating accidents due to the reckless actions of product manufacturers, property owners, doctors, drivers, truck operators, and many more. When victims are hurt in accidents, due to the negligent acts of another person, they may be eligible to file a legal claim against the at-fault party.
These claims enable injured parties to collect compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and any other damages. In some cases, injured parties can reach out to a toxic tort attorney to get the justice they deserve.
