Manchester, NJ – Man Critically Hurt in Wreck on Rte 70 at MP 34.5
Manchester, NJ (June 6, 2024) – On June 5, a man suffered critical injuries in a collision involving two SUVs on a roadway in Manchester. Reports from police show that two SUVs crashed at around 11:25 p.m. on Route 70, near milepost 34.5.
A 61-year-old man traveling west crossed over to the eastbound side of the road for reasons still being investigated. Both motorists tried to avoid the crash by swerving toward the eastbound shoulder. However, the SUVs collided head-on, police said. The impact of the collision pushed the eastbound SUV, operated by the 22-year-old, clockwise to where it struck a tree. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he is in critical yet stable condition. The 61-year-old suffered minor injuries in the accident.
