Manhattan, NY (August 16, 2023) – A pedestrian was hit by a car in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, on Tuesday, August 15. Reports show the incident occurred after a vehicle allegedly refused to stop for police. 

The collision happened on 3rd Street near Avenue A when a 2018 Mercedes Benz struck a 54-year-old woman in the roadway. Sources report that authorities were conducting a firearms investigation at the time of the crash. 

When the vehicle took off, one suspect ran away and was caught a short time later. The woman who was hit by the car has not been identified at this time. 

She was transported to the hospital by ambulance in order to be treated for the injuries she sustained in the crash.
