Manhattan, NY - One Injured After Vehicle Crashes into Building near W 15th St & 10th AveSuffering severe injuries in a traffic accident can be a traumatic and overwhelming experience. If you were hurt in a crash, you could be dealing with painful and debilitating injuries that are keeping you from working and making a living, as well as spending time with your family members and engaging in activities that bring you joy. Additionally, you may be unable to complete everyday tasks due to the severity of your injuries, which can turn out to be totally devastating. No one should have to go through this on their own, especially if they know their injuries were caused by another person’s negligent actions.

Alarmingly, negligent drivers cause the majority of auto collisions that happen throughout the United States. In today’s society, several forms of negligent driving exist, including but not limited to:

  • Distraction
  • Fatigue
  • Intoxication
  • Speeding

Sadly, many drivers take part in these selfish and dangerous behaviors. Averagely speaking, there are about 17,000 car crashes reported per day throughout the country. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that nine out of ten auto collisions reported are caused by the actions of negligent drivers. This means that well over 10,000 accidents per day are caused by driver negligence.

Distracted driving is currently the most prevalent type of negligent driving in the United States. Drivers who choose to pay attention to their phones, look at other people in the vehicle, fiddling with the radio, or pay attention to their GPS, for example, risk their own lives and the lives of those around them.
