Mansfield Township, N.J. – One Driver Dies After Being Hit by Two Tractor-Trailers and a Car on New Jersey TurnpikeRobert A. Solomon, P.C.
Mansfield Township, N.J. (March 27, 2019) – According to police, a man has died after he got out of his vehicle on the highway and was hit by two tractor-trailers and a vehicle. The deadly New Jersey pedestrian accident occurred on Tuesday morning along the northbound side of the New Jersey Turnpike near milepost 51.6.
Police say that the driver, 22-year-old Jahmir Scott, of Allentown, stopped his vehicle on the highway after it became disabled. Scott got out of his car and was hit by the three vehicles shortly afterward. Police are unsure of exactly what caused Scott’s vehicle to become disabled.
Scott was pronounced dead due to his injuries. The drivers of the vehicles involved in the accident are cooperating with police. No charges have been filed at the time of this posting.
