Middletown, NJ – DWI Crash Injures Three on Rt 35 N near Whole Foods
Middletown, NJ (September 22, 2023) – A woman from Middletown turned herself in to police on Thursday, September 20, after she caused a DWI collision on September 15.
Reports show the incident occurred near the Middletown Whole Foods on Route 35 North. Jill Alenier, 47, has been charged with two counts of assault by automobile as well as driving while intoxicated.
At approximately 9:15 p.m., on September 15, police were conducting a routine motor vehicle stop on Route 35 when Aleiner’s Acrua SUV hit the two patrol cars as well as the Nissan Altima that was pulled over. Police say she collided with the rear-end of the Altima.
The two people present in the Altima were injured and taken to Riverview Medical Center for treatment. Their injuries were reported as being significant, according to police. Neither of the police officers sustained any injuries.
Authorities in Middletown continue to investigate.
